We began Sidekart.com as a brand to help our customers in the entertainment business sell their products more efficiently. From bands to managers to entertainment companies, much of what we built and are still building is based off of what we knew already, customers want their product quickly, precisely 2-days (thank you Amazon Prime), they want one-click checkout, they want to order from any mobile device and be notified ever step of the way. ..and those are just for starters.
Amazon has been disrupting business for nearly 20 years and there is a lot we can learn from their 20 year history. From book selling and bleeding cash in the mid 90’s to the largest online retailer with the fastest and more dependable delivery to date, thanks to their drones, local delivery and purchasing their own 747 jet for Amazon Prime. There is no shortage of creativity and A/B testing.
Speaking of purchasing a Jet, Walmart’s purchase of Jet.com will disrupt many other players that were attempting to get into the lead, but rest assured online shopping is not a trend that is going away and is a sustainable 900 billion dollar business.
